Piccolo master-programme

The Antwerp Conservatory (a department of the Hogeschool Antwerpen), offers a unique piccolo training programme with the possibility of getting a Piccolo Master award.

Courses include study of the piccolo repertoire as well as an intensive audition training course.

Former students include Gudrun Bourel (piccolo soloist, Gelders Orkest Arnhem (NL)), Els Weckx (free-lance musician) and Anke Lauwers (trial, BBC Concert Orchestra (UK)).

Students can apply for a full master program. However, most of the students already achieved a flute master award before starting the piccolo program.

Auditions for the academic year 2009-2010 are scheduled on August 31th.

Piccolo initiation lessons

Flautists interested in learning piccolo basics can have private lessons in Peter’s music studio.

Flute Day

Peter developed a ‘flute fitness’ programme with warming-up, individual and master-class-lessons and an optional concert (piccolo recital and flute choir).

Teachers workshop

As a pedagogy teacher at the conservatories of Antwerp and Brussels, Peter developed several lectures working on specific issues (tone development, vibrato, finger technique).
